Chromatory — Light Studio

Plan light placement for NMM and OSL: load the STL you print from, place lights, pick a look, and copy the highlights. Runs entirely in your browser — the model is never uploaded, so any size your machine can handle is fine. · · 🔔 News · Terms

Orbit with drag/pinch · wheel zooms · tap a handle for X/Y/Z arrows · Del removes the selected light · Ctrl+Z undoes. Sideways model?
🎨 Look
Responds to your lights:
Fixed idealized reference (ignores lights — the shapes to copy):
💡 Lights
room light — brighten to inspect, dim for dramatic OSL
the table the mini stands on — its colour tints every light's bounce
the model blocks light — turn off on weak GPUs
the glowing orbs where your lights sit — off shows just their light (saved renders follow this)
painters shade toward a colour, not black — try a cool blue-violet
🖌 Regions
Paint areas on the model (armour, cloth, skin…), then light one up on the render.
💾 Rigs
A rig saves everything: lights, look, colour, ambient, floor, shadows — as a JSON file you can reload here or in the app.
📸 Capture
Save the current render as a PNG — your painting reference.
🧩 Scene
Add more STLs to light a composed scene (a base, scenery, a second mini). Click one to select it, then drag its gizmo to move or turn it. Scene models are session-only — save a render to keep the composition.
